BioLegend at Science Fest 5K, May 2015
Our running club continues to support good causes, and on May 16th, we joined the Science Fest 5K in beautiful Crown Point Shores. After the race, kids (and kids at heart!) enjoyed some “practical” science. From a pink, natural goo to test the laws of hydrodynamics to an oobleck pool (a non-Newtonian fluid made out of starch), volunteers made a really fun morning for all participants.
This race is a Sandy Feet event, whose proceeds supports Science Delivered!, a nonprofit organization that brings science enrichment to elementary school students throughout San Diego.
Team BioLegend before (top) and after (bottom) the race.
If you need some motivation to start (or keep) running, here are some reasons to join us in the next event:
| |
The Science Fest 5K is a family friendly event; a lot of kids showed up and made the race animated. Nothing is more motivating than a bunch of kids with big, wide smiles on their faces running along with you. Like for all the previous events, team BioLegend thanks our company for sponsoring our participation.
